On Wednesday, November 1, 2017, the Bel Air Boys’ Volleyball team took an unfortunate loss against Harford Tech at home. This was the team’s first game of the playoffs and they ost by a score of 1-3.

The team played a tough game, winning the second set, while losing the first, third and fourth sets. This was the team’s first game of playoffs and their 14th game in total. They finished with an overall record of 12-2.

The game was at Bel air High School at 4 pm. Great plays were made by Andrew Sunday, Evan Thatcher, and Spencer Sanza who were able to keep the game close before Tech pulled away. The team played a great game but just lost in the fourth set with a score of 25-17.

“I am really upset that we lost. I loved watching the team play and I’m really sad that they’re season is over”, said Boys’ Volleyball manager, Angel Whitaker.

Unfortunately, the team’s chance at defending their county championship that they had won in 2016 is over after losing this GAME.

“The team had a great season. It is just upsetting that they lost because they had such a good record and they were in a good position to win again”, said Junior Varsity player, Sean Conway.

The Boys’ Varsity Volleyball season is now unfortunately over after a fantastic regular season that saw them go 12-1. They look forward in trying to reclaim their UCBAC crown come the 2018-2019 school year.
