Boys’ Volleyball Closes Out Regular Season With Senior Night Victory

The Boys’ Junior Varsity and Varsity Volleyball teams went up against Aberdeen on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Bel Air High School. Both teams took home a win in their last regular season game.

The Junior Varsity team played first at 5:30P.M. They won the first two sets, giving them the win with a score of 2-0. Some great plays were made from players Jacob Harris, Jack Thompson, Jaymes Carrier and others. This was their last game of the year and they now have a final record of 7-5.

Varsity played at 6:30 P.M. This was their Senior Night, so before the game, all of the Seniors on the team were announced and escorted out by their families. They played an exciting game and were able to take the win in just three sets.

“It was nice that both teams were able to win because this was our last game of the year and the last game forever for some of us so it was cool that we were able to beat them”, said player, Sean Conway.

Some excellent plays were made from Brody Cullison, Andrew Sunday, Evan Thatcher and the rest of the team. They defeated Aberdeen in the final set with a score of 25-17.

“It was nice that both teams took the win because they now both have great records for the season”, said Volleyball manager, Angel Whitaker.

Both teams had an excellent season giving Varsity a record of 12-1 and Junior Varsity a record of 7-5. Make sure to support the Varsity team as they head into playoffs. Go Bobcats!
