Field Hockey Falls to C. Milton, Trounces Rising Sun

On Monday October 9, 2017 the Girls Field Hockey Team was defeated by the C-Milton Wright Mustang’s by a score of 0-1 at the Bobcat Stadium.

This was one of Bel Air’s most tightly contested games, with both teams playing with great intensity. The Bobcats came together as a team on the field and worked very hard keeping the ball out of the cage.

“Our intensity was high and our confidence was even higher” says Emily Coard Varsity player number 29.

The game ended with a score 0-0 which led into overtime. Unfortunately C-Milton came out on top scoring shortly into overtime leaving the Bobcats heartbroken.

On Wednesday October 11, 2017 the Girls Field Hockey Team defeated Rising Sun by a score of 4-0 at the Bobcat Stadium.

Julian Vazquez scored the first goal shortly into the second half. Following her Peyton Hale knocked the ball into the net right from the top of the circle leaving the score 2-0 in the first half.

“It feels good to be back on top again after a devastating loss against the Mustangs. We put our hearts out on the field each and every day so when we get outcomes like this it makes it feel so much better” says number 21 Caroline Cotton.

Shortly going into the second half number 18 Maddie Conroy scored another goal with a new score of 3-0.

With a few minutes left in the game number 42 Bailey Springer had an amazing fast break down the field scoring yet another goal for the Bobcats with the end score of 4-0 Bobcats on top.
