Cross country

Tuesday, October 17, 2017 the Bel Air Cross Country teams competed at C. Milton Wright for the Harford Invite against Fallston, C. Milton Wright, Harford Tech, Patterson Mill, North Harford, Havre de Grace and Edgewood for the 5,000 meter race.

Freshmen, Sanjay Sethi was first of Bel Air to finish for boys with a personal record (PR) time of 18:55.6 and placed 33^rd out of the entire race. There were a total of 6 PR’s for boys and one season record (SR).

“Everyone ran great at this race, I am proud of every one on the team,” says Sarah Van Ruiten, a runner for the girls.

Sophomore, Caitlyn Chan was first of Bel Air to finish for girls with a PR time of 23:33.8 and placed 31^st out of the entire race. There were a total of 3 PR’s for girls and no SR’s.

“I feel as if everyone did their best and ran great, even though we came in last, it was still a win to me,” says Caitlyn Chan.
