Girls’ Soccer Shuts Out Edgewood

On Thursday, October 12th, 2017, the Bel Air Girls’ Soccer team played on their home turf against the Edgewood High School Rams. Bel Air swept the Rams with a score of 4-0.

Coming from the loss on October 10th, 2017 against C. Milton, the Bobcats came out with high intensity, and were all eager to win this game to get back on track, and it really showed during game play.

In the first half, Junior Katie McGrain scored the first goal of the game to put the Bobcats in the lead with a score of 1-0. Junior Grace Wehland was also able to score a goal to put the Lady Cats at an even higher lead. Lastly, Sophomore Ava Goeller scored to make it an even more exciting first half.

“In this game, we all worked hard and fought together to get this win. We all did what we needed to do on our part and played an overall amazing game,” says Sophomore attack Maggi Hall.

In the second half, Senior Elizabeth Hillman scored the fourth and final goal of the game, securing the win for the Bobcats with a score of 4-0.

“So far this season we have played so well and have played hard every game. We have won so many games this season and this win will prepare us even more for playoffs,” says Senior attack Elizabeth Hillman.
