On Wednesday, October 18, 2017, the Bel Air Girls’ soccer team traveled to Notre Dame Prepatory High School to play their last regular season game. The Bobcats caught the win with a final score of 1-0.

Since playoffs are short away for the soccer team, the Bobcats knew they’d have to play hard against Notre Dame Prep to get this win. This game would be very important for them getting a good spot in playoffs.

In the first half, the Bobcats couldn’t score any goals against Notre Dame Prep, but this didn’t stop them from playing hard and playing great defense. As a result, Notre Dame Prep didn’t score any goals either.

“The first half was slow for us since we couldn’t get any goals. However, we also didn’t give up any goals, which also made the game more exciting,” says Sophomore attack Maggi Hall.

In the second half, Junior Katie McGrain scored the first and only goal of the game. With assistance from Senior Elizabeth Hillman, the Bobcats took the lead 1-0.

“To get this win means so much to everyone. Since its our last regular season game, it felt so good to play as hard as we did and take home this win,” says Senior defender Gabi Hall.

The next game for the Lady Cats is has yet to be determined as they are now officially starting playoffs. Wish your fellow Bobcats luck as they begin their road to states!
