On Saturday, October 14, the Bel Air Varsity Cheerleading team competed at the Pikesville Cheerleading Invitational at Pikesville High School.

This was the team’s second competition of the year. The girls competed against 17 teams and placed first! The girls had placed 2nd at the Edgewood Cheerleading Invitational on October 9th making this their first win of the season.

The Bel Air Varsity Cheerleaders hit a perfect routine without any stunt falls or tumbling falls. The girls and coaches are very happy with the routine they put on the mat.

“I couldn’t be more excited with the routine we put on the mat Saturday. I can’t wait to see what the rest of this season has in store for us. Hopefully, we can put on a perfect routine for counties!” said Maddie Humes, a Varsity cheerleader.

The Varsity team had all their stunts in the air and their routine was perfect. The Varsity team’s next competition is October 25 2017, when they will be competing at counties at Harford Tech. The girls are hoping to make that their 2nd win of the season.

“I feel so good about what we put on the mat Saturday. The girls and I have been working so hard to show everyone what we are capable of and at Pikesville we definitely did the best we could.” said Lydia Deweese, a Varsity team member.

The team’s next competition is UCBACS at Harford Tech on October 25 2017. After counties, if the girls move on they will compete at semifinals and if they move on from there, finals.
