On Tuesday, October 3, 2017, the Bel Air High School girls’ soccer team played on their home field against Patterson Mill. The Cat’s were able to pull out the win over the Huskies with a score of 2-1.

This was the team’s annual Kick Pink game, a game they play for breast cancer awareness.

In a highly competitive game, Junior Autumn Dougherty scored and got the Bobcats on the board to take an early 1-0 lead.

”We knew that one mistake could cost us. So, as a team, we all knew that our intensity and hustle had to be thorough the roof,” says Sophomore forward Ava Goeller. “We needed to work together and play smart in order to win that game, which we did!”

Even though Patterson Mill was able to get a goal as well, which tied the score, that didn’t stop the Bobcats from playing hard. Finally, Senior Elizabeth Hillman scored the second goal for the Lady Cat’s, giving them the win with a score of 2-1.

“It was really cool to win this game. We’ve been doing so well in our conference games and hopefully we’ll accomplish even more things in the future. It was even more exciting since it was our Kick Pink game! says Sophomore forward Maggi Hall.
