On Friday, October 6, the Bel Air Bobcats took down local Rivals Fallston in the annual Homecoming football game at Bobcat stadium.

Coming off 4 straight losses, the Bel Air football team needed a big win to propel the squad forward. The team was led by Junior Quarterback Austin Rohlfing, who rushed and threw for two touchdowns each, as well as by Junior running back Hunter Hruz who continues to run the ball well for the Bobcats.

The Bobcat defense shut down the Cougar’s offense all night. Despite two long touchdown runs, the Cougars were unable to maintain a solid rhythm due to the talent of the Bobcat defense. Senior Devin Anderson locked down the receivers and made a few key tackles.

“I’m glad we were able to get an important victory in our home stadium on such a big night.” Said junior Hunter Hruz. “It’s important that we keep winning so we can push to make the playoffs.”

Bel Air is now 11th in the county with a 2-4 overall record. Next up, the Bobcats travel to C. Milton Wright to take on the Mustangs in their homecoming game on Friday, 13 of October.

“This was a very important win for our season.” Said Senior Nick Jenkens. “We need to pull out a win this Friday against a tough opponent to keep our playoff hopes alive.”

The Bobcats travel to CMW to face the Mustangs who carry a strong 5-1 record. Come out and support your Bobcats as they fight to take down yet another county rival!
