On Thursday, September 28, the Bel Air Girls’ Soccer team defeated the Fallston Cougars at Bel Air High School. The Bobcats won with a score of 2-1.

With both the Lady Cats and Cougars being highly competitive teams, both teams knew this would be a tough match. The game went into overtime, meaning the team that scored the next goal would claim the victory for this match.

Senior Lexi Kraemer scored the first goal of the game for the Bobcats within the first two minutes, but that didn’t stop the Cougars from playing hard. In the second half, Fallston scored their first goal of the night, tying the score at 1-1.

“Fallston was a very competitive team and they came out with high intensity, but we did too. We made the passes we needed to and we all worked together as a team to pull out the win,” says Maggi Hall, a forward for the Bobcats.

When the game went into overtime, both teams played their hearts out in efforts to score the last goal. Finally, Bel Air Senior Carolyn Doheny made the game-winning goal and the Bobcats won 2-1.

“It felt good to be able to help the team get the win we deserved, especially against Fallston,” says Doheny, a forward for the Bobcats.

The Bobcats play next on October 3rd at home against Patterson Mill. Come out and support your Bobcats! Hope to see you there!
