The Lady Bobcats Field Hockey team went 1-1 in the two games they played in the week of Spetember 25, 2017.

On Monday September 25, 2017 the Girls Field Hockey Team was defeated by the Fallston Cougars with the score of 0-1 at the Fallston stadium.

The Bobcat defense came out strong working together with their goalie to protect the goal. Playing on the rough grass was a bit of a change for the Cats, but they stuck strong using push passes and ariels to move the ball.

Freshman goalie on the Bel Air team, Abby Bannan had an amazing first half saving every goal that came her way; leaving the score 0-0 going into the second half.

“Both teams came out hungry! For the most part, both teams were very equal” says Junior Varsity player, Sofia Garcia.

Going into the second half, goalies switched putting in Chelsea Gostomski as goalie. Playing strong Chelsea put up a great fight. Unfortunately, the Cats came up short in the end when the Cougars scored in the second half.

On Wednesday September 27, 2017 the Hockey team had another game defeating the Patterson Mill Huskies 3-1 at the Bobcat stadium.

Number 34, Julian Vazquez scored the first goal shortly into the game. Following her, number 7, Peyton Hale had a great shot that found its mark. The score going into the second half was 2-0.

“The girls worked so well together, I couldn’t be more proud of how they implemented the things. I am teaching in practice tonight on the field” says Coach Amy Chmielewski.

With three minutes left number 42, Bailey Springer had an amazing fast break assisting the goal of number 23, Brooke Steg. The Lady Cats couldn’t be more excited to finally have another win! The final score was 3-1 Bobcats with the Bobcats on top!
