On Tuesday, September 19, 2017, the Lady Bobcat Soccer team played on their home turf against Harford Technical High School. Both JV and Varsity were able to pull out a win for the Bobcats. JV won with a score of 2-0 and varsity won with a score of 3-1.

Varsity did an outstanding job in this game and only gave up one goal. Their leading goal scorer was Senior Lexi Kraemer, who scored the first and last goal of the game. Kraemer scored on assists from junior Autumn Dougherty and senior Lauren Asher.

Even though the Bobcats came out with high energy and intensity, the Cobras were able to match that, which made it an even more competitive game.

“We started to work together by connecting passes and finding the through ball, which led to opportunities that we were able to capitalize on,” says senior Bel Air defender Gabi Hall.

In the second half, when the game was scored 2-1 and the clock was running low, the crowd and teams were anxious to see who would get the next goal. Finally, Kraemer was able to score the final goal to secure the win for the Bobcats.

“Currently, we are working on building chemistry on and off the field and playing for each other instead of for ourselves, which will make us a better team in the future,” says sophomore Maggi Hall, a forward for the Bobcats.

It was an exciting and successful game for the Lady Bobcats who will hope to repeat great performances like this as the season progresses.
