Bel Air Boys Junior Varsity and Varsity Volleyball teams both had excellent games against Fallston on Monday, September 18 at Fallston High School, taking home wins in their fifth game of the season.

During the Junior Varsity game, the game went on to all three sets. Fallston took the win on the first, and then the Bobcats won over both the second and third sets. The final score of the third set was 15-13. This was the first time Junior Varsity boys volleyball team has beat Fallston in 9 years.

Shortly after the Junior Varsity game ended, the Bel Air Varsity team came in and played a very exciting, yet stressful game. The game went on to all five sets. Bel Air won the first and third set, Fallston won the second and fourth set, and then the Bobcats won the fifth set and the game with a score of 12-15.

“It was a very intense game, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time”, said Boys Volleyball manager, Angel Whitaker.

So far, in the season, the Junior Varsity record is 2-5. Varsity however, has had an amazing record of 5-0 after beating Fallston, Patterson Mill, John Carroll, C. Milton Wright, and North Harford.

“JV played a great game and it was cool to win, but it was so exciting seeing varsity win because the game was so stressful to watch considering they had to go to all five sets. It was awesome to see them win that last point”, said Junior Varsity player, Jack Thompson.

The Boys volleyball team this season is looking great and will hope to continue this hot streak they have been on as the season progresses.
