Bel Air Boys Soccer had a very eventful week playing two hard fought games against Walter Johnson on Thursday, the 14th of September, and John Carroll on Saturday, the 16th.

Bel Air played their first game of the week on the road against Walter Johnson, the defending 4A state champs.  It was a low scoring but hard fought game which resulted in a victory for the Bobcats with a final score of 1-0. Connor Lorenz forced an own goal midway through the first half and the bobcats were able to maintain the lead for the remainder of the game.

Bobcats Boys Soccer played their second game of the week against an MIAA – A conference foe, John Carroll, in the Battle of Bel Air.  Connor Lorenz once again found the back of the net giving the Bobcats a quick 1-0 lead which they held through halftime.  The Bobcats came out strong in the second half with the help of an own goal scored by Francesco Bountempo which gave the bobcats and easy 2-0 lead.  Nearing the end of the game Emre Sipos scored a tap in after a Connor Lorenz free kick struck the post making the final a blowout of 3-0.

“I was excited to go to Walter Johnson and beat them after what happened last year and even more excited to come away with a shutout.  We have to keep this form going and continue to play well if we want to make a playoff push.”  Said Bobcat goalie Jake Fiacco

This was a huge weekend for Bobcat’s Soccer giving them an overall record of 3-1.  Along with Boys Volleyball, Bobcats’ Boys Soccer came out with a win in the Battle of Bel Air.

“We worked hard and had a great result against John Carroll.  The next few weeks will be tough but I’m confident in our team and I expect to keep winning.  Everyone is playing very well at the moment.”  Announced Connor Lorenz the leading goal scorer of the week.

Bobcats Boys Soccer’s next game is this Friday at Sparrows point in Baltimore County.  Wish your boys good luck into a tricky part of their season.
