On Tuesday, April 17, and Wednesday, April 18, the Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team faced off against the John Carroll Patriots and the Rising Sun Tigers.

In these two games, the Bobcats’ bats were on fire, as they outscored their opponents 18-2. The first game was away at John Carroll, where the Bobcats crushed the Patriots, 11-0.

The majority of the runs came from junior Liam Bowers and senior Jackson Rhodes, as Bowers hit a grand slam and Rhodes hit a three-run home run.

“This game was a great way to gain some momentum back after losing a few games over the past week,” says Bowers.

The Bobcats’ game on Wednesday was a home game against the Rising Sun Tigers, whom they beat 13-0 earlier in the year. This game was not as much of a blowout as last time, but the Bobcats did manage to still put up six runs to defeat the Tigers once again, by a final score of 6-2.

“It feels good to get back in the win column,” Bowers states. “We need to keep working hard and keep playing like we did in these past two games so we can finish the season off strong and put us back into the playoffs.”

The Bobcats’ next game is on Friday, April 21, at 3:30 p.m. as they host the Elkton Elks.
