On Wednesday, March 29, the Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team traveled to Rising Sun to face off against the Tigers.

It was a great day for not just the baseball, but for the softball teams as well, as all four teams defeated Rising Sun! That is not all that happened, Coach John Swanson added on to the tremendous night for the Bobcats as he picked up his 200th career win.

The Bobcats bounced back from a 5-1 loss to Calvert Hall by putting up 14 runs against the Tigers. Senior Zack Radcliffe and Junior Spencer Sanza led the charge for the Bobcats as Radcliffe had a three RBI’s and Sanza had two.

“We played phenomenal!” states Junior Liam Bowers. “We were hitting the ball very well and Michael [Yetter] pitched a terrific game.”

Those bats were not the only thing that was hot, Senior Michael Yetter pitched six innings of shutout baseball, striking out multiple players. Junior Brandon Dockery came in and finished the game to seal the victory for the Bobcats and to get Coach Swanson his 200th career victory.

“In my sixteen years, it humbles me to teach and coach at BAHS. I am very blessed to be surrounded by a great administration, athletic director, and players who play with a passion year in and year out.” Coach John Swanson says. “I would also like to thank my assistant Coach Tom Thorsen who has been a key part to our success.”

On Friday, March 31, the Bobcats travel to Elkton to face off against the Elks at 3:30 p.m.
