Bel Air Bobcats Fall to Patterson Mill Huskies

On Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, the Bel Air Boys’ Basketball Team traveled to Patterson Mill to face off against the Huskies in their final out of conference game of the regular season.

The boys played hard but fell short at the hand of a late Patterson Mill run that saw the Huskies up 62-46 when the clock hit zero.

Poor shooting and a struggle on offense held the Bobcats to only 42 points while the Huskies were near perfect from the field early on in the first half.

“They shot well and we didn’t play tough enough on defense,” says senior player Daniel Webber. “If we want to beat these tough out of conference teams we need to be on our game at all times. Good teams like these will make you pay for every mistake you make.”

Junior Devin Anderson was the leading scorer for the Cats, cashing in 14 points and playing well on defense all night.

“It makes things easier when I can get to the basket off the dribble. It either opens things up for myself or a shooter on the wing. That was a big part of my success tonight and I hope we can do more of it in the next few weeks,” Anderson states.

The boys return home to kick off their conference schedule with Perryville on Tuesday, Dec. 20. Come out and support the boys as they look to get their first mark in the win column against the Panthers!
