On Wednesday, Sept. 28, the Boys’ Varsity Volleyball Team traveled to Fallston to face off against the Cougars.
The Bobcats were confronted by a huge upset, losing, by the end of the game, the 2-0 set lead that they’d earned during the initial two sets. The first set was a very intense battle, one that Bel Air won 30-28.
The second set was a little more comfortable for the Bobcats, seeing that they took the second set by a score of 25-21. The third set was the turning point of the whole game as Fallston came up big, taking the set by a score of 25-23.
“We got off to a 2-0 start, but then we just let the game slip from us.” Said Junior Alex Andrew.
Fallston continued to play Bel Air tough in the fourth set, bouncing back to tie the game up at two apiece. In the fifth set, Fallston would do what no team has done yet this season, defeating Bel Air 3-2, and taking the fifth set by a score of 15-12.
“It was a very frustrating loss for us.” Stated Andrew. “Every set was a close score, but in the end, Fallston came out on top.
Hoping to bounce back from their first loss of the season, the Bobcats will be traveling to Aberdeen on Wednesday, Oct. 5, to play the Bald Eagles.
