On Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, the Bel Air Golf Team went to the Geneva Farms Golf Course and gave it their all at the District VII Championship match.
In this match, out of all District VII high schools that had a playable golf team, Bel Air came out of the tournament with a final score of a combined 348 between four players.
The top scorer from the Bel Air Golf Team was Evan Ripple who shot a 78, six strokes over par, and only three strokes off the lead of the three co-champions!
“We knew going into the tournament that it would be tough to compete with some of the better teams in the division,” Says Bel Air Golf Coach Ryan Doyle.
All of the golf players shot under 100 out of the 18 holes that were played. Josh Stocum scored an 83, Nick Daristotle scored an 89, and Ryan Menchen scored a 98.
“We played good for the most part. I am very proud of E-Rips.” Doyle states.
The next Bel Air Golf Team match will be on Tuesday Oct. 4, at 3:30 p.m. at North East. Good luck Bobcats!
