On Wednesday, Sept. 14, the Boys’ Varsity Volleyball Team traveled to North Harford to face off against the North Harford Hawks.
The Bobcats started out strong in the first set as they outplayed the Hawks, taking the first set with a final score of 25-17. The second set was all Bobcats as well, as they dominated their opponents, crushing the Hawks with a score of 25-14.
The Hawks, down 2-0, knew they needed to step up in order to have a chance at winning… And that’s exactly what they did. In the third set North Harford came out on top, in a hard fought battle, with a final score of 25-22.
“We started off strong in the first two games,” says Alex Andrew, member of the Bel Air Team. “In the third game, we tried to do something new, but it didn’t work out so we just went back to our normal routine and won the game.”
The Bobcats “went back to their normal routine” and took the fourth set by a final score 25-18, winning the game against the Hawks 3 games to 1. The Bobcats are now 2-0 on the early season.
“We are playing very well so far in the season,” claims Andrew. “If we keep it up, we will make the playoffs, no doubt about it.”
The Bobcats head back home on Monday, Sept. 19, to play the Harford Tech. Cobras. Come out and support your Boys’ Varsity Volleyball team! Go ‘Cats!
