The End of the Season for Softball

Hana Leftridge

On Monday, May 16, 2016 our Lady ‘Cats traveled to Perry Hall High School and lost 5-0 in seven innings.
The Bobcats fought hard throughout the game but the team could not pull together at the plate to put girls in scoring position. Going into the fourth inning the ‘Cats played a solid defensive game but four errors in the first three innings put the girls at a disadvantage. Sophomore Gwen Markowski worked on the mound allowing four hits over the course of the game. Freshman Kat Perea and Sophomore Amanda Criss were the only two Bobcats to get a hit against the Perry Hall pitcher.
“It was a tough way to end the season because we didn’t play our best softball,” shared Senior Captain Savannah Meyers, “but we fought hard all season.”
The Bobcats have finished their season with a record of 7-10. Thank you to all of those who have supported the ‘Cats throughout their season this year and good luck to our seniors in years to come. Go Bobcats!
