The Bobcats Baseball Team Wrecks the Mustangs and the Cobras

On Friday, April 8, the Bel Air Bobcats traveled to HCC to face the C. Milton Wright Mustangs and on Monday, April 11, the Bobcats faced off against the Harford Tech. Cobras at home.

The Bobcats offense started off a little slow in the first two innings against the Mustangs but quickly turned  around as they ended up crushing the Mustangs with a final score of 8-1.

On Monday, the Bobcats faced the Cobras in a close game, but ended up winning by a close score of 5-4. Going in to the bottom of the fifth, the score was 1-1, until the Cobras defense fell apart with four errors costing them four runs. By the end of the bottom of the fifth, the score was 5-1, Bobcats.

“Harford Tech. allowed 4 errors in the fifth and we were able to capitalize on that,” said Cameron Kalandros.

In the 6th and 7th , the Cobras started to make a comeback as they put up 3 runs, but it just wasn’t enough. The Bobcats took this one with a final score of 5-4.

“We started to struggle a little towards the end, but we got the final 3 outs and won the game,” said Kalandros.

Come out and support the Bobcats as they travel to Patterson Mill on Wednesday, April 13, to face the Huskies.
