On Monday, March 21, the Bel Air Bobcats faced off against the Towson Generals.

The Bobcats were very impressive on their home opener as they put up 10 runs against the Towson Tigers. The Bobcats bats came to life in the bottom of third when they put up 5 runs to give them a commanding lead of 5-0.

The Bobcats came out very strong in the fourth inning as well, putting up 5 more runs. By the end of the fourth inning, the Bel Air had a commanding lead of 10-0.

“We all played really well. Everyone was hitting the ball and playing some really good defense,” said Senior Andrew Cotton

Another part of the Bobcats success was their pitching, as senior Jack Jenkins pitched a shutout, allowing only one hit. At the top of the fifth, Luke Beyers came in to pitch and continued to shut out the generals.

“Our pitching was phenomenal. Jack Jenkins and Luke Beyers both pitched great to combine for the shutout,” said Senior Andrew Cotton

The Bobcats look to continue to dominate the diamond and continue to carry the momentum to their next game.
