Bel Air Baseball vs. John Carroll

On Thursday, March 24, the Bel Air Bobcats Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team faced off against the John Carroll Patriots.

The Bobcats’ pitching struggled this game as they allowed 6 runs to be scored on them. The Bobcats knew they were struggling with their pitching, so they stepped up big on the offensive side of the field and put up six runs.

Senior Andrew Cotton had an RBI double, and Sophomore Liam Bowers stepped up big with 2 RBI doubles and a homerun. At the bottom of the 7th, the score was all tied up at 6.

“We played well in the field and we stepped up big on offense,” said Sophomore Cameron Kalandros.

In the bottom of the 7th Andrew Ferretti stepped up big and hit a walk-off single to get the victory over the Patriots by a final score of 7-6. The Bobcats are now 2-0 on the season.

“Ferretti had a clutch hit to win on a walk-off against the Patriots,” said Cameron Kalandros.

The Bobcats look to stay undefeated as they travel to Rising Sun to take on the Tigers.
