Bel Air Girls fall to Patterson Mill

Hana Leftridge

On Monday, Feb. 1, our Lady Bobcats played Patterson Mill and lost 49-37.

The girls came out strong in the first half, scoring 22 points to Patterson Mill’s 20. Junior Oceana Murphy led the team scoring 16 points over the course of the game. The girls came back after half time and scored another 15 points just behind Patterson’s 29 points to finish the game 49-37.

“The team started off really well offensively, OC (Oceana) Murphy scored 16 points. Defensively, we did a great job contesting shots. We gave the game away on the boards, we did great on defense, but we let them rebound the ball,” Head Coach Skelton continued on to share, “Patterson wasn’t going to let OC continue scoring and challenged everyone else who attempted, but in the end we just couldn’t find our second scorer.”

The girls’ next game is against Harford Tech as 6:45 p.m. at home. We hope to see plenty of Bel Air supporters in the stands cheering on the girls!
