Boys’ Volleyball Falls to Fallston

On Wed. Oct. 28, Boys’ Volleyball fell to Fallston after a hard fought game to end their playoff run.

The Bobcats started off very slowly, not giving themselves time to come back, considering playoff rules limit games to the best 2-3.  This resulted in Bel Air losing 2-0.

Defensive play from Senior Captain Luke Beyers helped keep the Bobcats in the game as long as possible, but consistent pressure from the Cougars led frequent mistakes made by our Bobcats.

“I wish we could have ended the season on a higher note.  I’m really proud of how our team played this year though.  Next year is going to be really exciting,” said Junior Cameron Pliska.

Bel Air finished the regular season with a record of 10-4, and despite a few tough losses, the team progressed and grew marginally, hoping to make another playoff run next year.  With the loss of a few key seniors, next year will be a tough team rebuild.

“We had an overall good season.  I give a lot of that credit to great coaching.  We really worked hard all season and I can’t wait to be even better next year,” explained Sophomore Andrew Sunday.

It was a tough way to end the season, but our Bobcats worked hard all year and will continue to work in the off season to come back next year stronger than ever.
