Setting off Boys’ Varsity Volleyball Senior Night

On Tuesday, Oct 20, the Boys’ Varsity Volleyball Team defeated C. Milton Wright after a very close, intense win.

Your Bobcats started off strong, winning the first set very quickly, but the Mustangs retaliated in the second set to tie the match up 1-1.  At the end of the first four matches, the scores were 2-2.

Fundamentals and small mistakes had huge impacts on this match.  A big part of this game was a middle hitter play by Junior Khalil Thames, setting himself and his teammates up for success at every chance possible.

“Everyone hustled, and kept the ball up in the air, it was a hard fought game,” Thames explained.

The win was solidified in the final set after an exciting kill from Jordan Ly. The gym echoed with cheers.

“It was neck and neck throughout the whole game.  We came back from a deficit of 2 sets to 1.  Each and every player contributed to give our team the opportunity to move on to the last set,” explained Senior Captain Luke Beyer.

This was a very exciting senior night victory for the Bobcats.  The last game of the season will be an away game at Fallston on Thurs. Oct. 22, at 6:45 pm.
