On Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, our Lady Bobcats traveled to North Harford to face off against the Hawks and on Wednesday, Sept. 30, they traveled to Harford Tech to play the Cobras.

Within the first half against the Hawks’, Senior Gabby Encarnacion with assist from Sophomore Lexi Kraemer placed the Bobcats on the scoreboard, 1-0. Senior Andrea Sipos worked the first half making 5 solid saves, keeping the Hawks off the board.

Hitting the field after half time, freshman Grace Wehland with assist from senior Jamie Layfield bumped the score up to 2-0. Quickly following, Sophomore Lexi Kraemer with assist from Freshman Grace Wehland scored the last goal of the game to leave with a final score of 3-0 in favor of the Bobcats. Freshman Jill Kozak took over the goal during the end of the game making one solid save ensuring the game was a shutout.

“Andrea is our starter keeper but when we were winning 3-0 we decided to give our younger keeper Jill some varsity experience. Harford County has some really strong soccer teams and the thing about soccer is every night it different and every night we have to earn it,” explained head coach Mr. Clemmer on the game against North Harford.

The first half against Harford Tech brought opportunity for Senior Carrie Simmons with assist from Sophomore Lexi Kraemer to score the first goal of the game, ending the first half with a score of 1-0. Within the second half Sophomore Lexi Kraemer with no assist scored the goal to win the game with a final score of 2-1.

“Last night our biggest challenge was maintaining a high level of play all the time. We did really well building and learning as a team, as well as playing of each other’s strengths,” commented Coach Clemmer on the Harford Tech game.

The Bobcats next game is at 3:30 right here at Bel Air against Rising Sun on Monday, Oct. 5, 2015. We hope to see plenty of Bobcat supporters in the stands cheering on our Varsity Lady Bobcats!
