Varsity Baseball Takes On P-Mill and Harford Tech

On Thursday, April 23, the Bel Air Varsity Baseball team traveled to Patterson Mill High School to take on the Huskies. As a rematch of their earlier game this season, Patterson Mill attempted to come out strong, throwing their number two pitcher.

Being against one of their biggest in-county rivals, Bel Air held nothing back, scoring a total of 10 runs in the 1st innings and knocking out two pitchers. In later innings, Bel Air was able to scrape together 5 more runs.  Now the Bobcats, clearly with something to prove, held the Huskies to no runs on a combined no hitter by Jack Jenkins and Cam Kalandros, while Mike Feinour, Teagan Lamon, Tyler Newton, Jack Jenkins, JD Bruck, and Jackson Struve all had multi game hits to produce the offense for the Bobcats in their 15-0 win.

After a huge away victory for Bel Air, Harford Tech was next on the list. Only 24 hours later, the Bobcats stepped on the field and again came out firing producing 5 runs in the 1st but later going through 3 pitchers off of 12 runs given up. Starting on the mound was Zack Radcliffe who went 5 innings, giving up 4 runs as Cam Kalandros again came in for the save and retiring the last 3 batters of the game.

JD Bruck said, “Our offense is finally beginning to produce and meet the expectations I’ve had since day one. As long as our defense continues the way it’s going, I’m confident we’ll be able to make a run.”
