On Tuesday, Oct. 7, the Bel Air Boys’ Varsity Soccer team traveled to Fallston to take on the Cougars in their Senior Night game.

The Cougars were able to strike first halfway through the first half with a header off of a free kick, while shortly after Junior Dan Milad was able to put in the equalizer off of a cross from Captain Matt Rannie. With the score tied at 1-1 in an intense first half and Bel Air with many opportunities, Johnallen McKinney tapped in the go ahead goal while inside the six, putting Bel Air ahead 2-1. The second half was mostly defensive, as the Bobcats stood strong and held Fallston to no goals. Four saves were recorded for Goalie Garret Lorenz. Another victory for the ‘Cats’ takes them to 9-1-1, leading the UCBAC standings with an impressive record.

After the game, Senior Alex Munley talked about the difficulty of the upcoming playoffs. “We’ve got a tough upcoming game against North Harford which determines whether we win UCBAC’s. There’s a lot of pressure on us going into play offs, but this is what we’ve been preparing for all season and I feel that our team can really go far this year.”
