Wrestling Wins Cat Fight Against Fallston

On Wed., Dec. 11, 2013, the Wrestling Team defeated the Fallston Cougars in a 54-18 win. Before the match began, Coach Reddish was presented with a plaque commemorating his 300th career victories as Wrestling coach.

The Bobcats started off the match with a loss, but then got revenge on the Cougars by turning it around and getting two pins in a row by junior David Reagan and Senior Gavin Rupprecht.   Junior Brady Stafford then tallied another pin for the Bobcats to make the score of the match 15-6. After the Stafford’s win, Junior Cameron Watts and Pablo Chivarria and Seniors Sam Guo and Ryan Beveridge all added pins to make the score 45-6. Then, Senior Grant Fleming battled in a tight match but pulled through to get the win for the Bobcats. Unfortunately, the last three matches of the night consisted in a Fallston forfeit and three losses.

Senior Captain Cyler Crawford believes that, “it was a good match for everyone. Even those who lost did very well.”

The Bobcats kept the dominance over the Cougars throughout the whole match despite a couple of tight matches and losses, but overall, the team had a strong showing in their season opener.
