On Monday Oct. 14, 2013, the Bel Air High School Field Hockey team took on the visiting Edgewood Rams in conference play.

The game was very one sided with the Bobcats dominating for most of the game. Both Tori Gryglewski and Judy Yurkofsky tallied 2 goals with Hailey Meyer, Meghan Scarry, Anna Farley, Carolyn Todd, and Sam Keesey each contributing a goal.

On Tuesday Oct. 15, 2013, the Field Hockey team suffered a tough 4-2 loss to the visiting Perry Hall Gators.

It was a defensive battle for the Bobcats who were on their side of the field for most of the half, trying to stop the Gator’s relentless attack. Perry Hall scored 2 goals in the first half, both off penalty corners.

The second half was much of the same but the Bobcats were able to tie the game at 2. Perry Hall would not be denied as they converted 2 more penalty corners to take the lead once again. Scoring for the Bobcats were Judy Yurkofsky and Jessica Vasquez.

The Bobcats final record for the regular season was 9-4-1 as they hope to go far in the State Playoffs coming up.

Senior Captain Tori Gryglewski said on the playoffs, ‘’I really think we can go far. We just have to work hard as a team and when we do that we can do anything”
