The Bel Air Bobcats’ Golf Team traveled to Ruggles Golf Course at Aberdeen Proving Ground to take on the North Harford Hawks and the Harford Tech Cobras at 3:00 P.M. on Oct 8. This turned out to be the toughest match of the year for the Bobcats thus far.
The Bobcats and the Hawks were neck and neck the entire afternoon as they played the course. The Bobcats were however able to prevail in the match as the Cody Smith came up big in the clutch for the Bobcats by shooting 37, one over par. The rest of the Bobcats didn’t play as well as they wanted to, but they left it all on the course. Team Captain Tyler Newton and Kevin Morrissey both shot 43, while Nick Loiodice and Sam Tepelides both shot 44 on the day. The Bobcats’ total score on the day was 211 while the Hawks finished with a score of 218.
With this victory, the Bobcats remain undefeated heading into the HCPS tournament at Geneva Farms on Tuesday Oct. 15. The Bobcats look to add another trophy to the case.
