The Bel Air Bobcats’ Golf Team took on North East and Elkton on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at Chesapeake Bay Rising Sun.
The Bobcats were led by their one- two punch of Team Captains Tyler Newton and Nick Loiodice carding 36 and 38. The rest of the Bobcats team also played well. Cody Smith shot a 40, Sam Tepelides came in with a 44 and Kevin Morrissey brought up the rear with a 46. The Bobcat’s total score was 206, with Elkton shooting a 248 and North East who had a total of 250. The Bobcats stayed undefeated with this win.
The Bobcats played on Thursday, Oct. 3 at Winters Run golf club. The Bobcats took the course against the Perryville Panthers. The Panthers were no match for the Bobcats on the course as the Bobcats remained undefeated. The Bobcats were led by Team Captain Tyler Newton shooting the low round of the day with a 34, while Captain Nick Loiodice had the third best round of the day with a 40. The Bobcats got strong performances out of the rest of their team. Cody Smith came in with a 41, Sam Tepelides shooting a 42 and Matt McGee with a 49. The Bobcats remain undefeated for the season.
The Bobcats head into next week with only two matches left and the Harford County Public Schools tournament remaining. Coach Doyle said after the two wins, “In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In Practice there is.” And ride ‘em Cowboy!
