Boys’ Bobcat Basketball Bounce Cougars in Overtime

The Varsity Boys Basketball team came out on top of cross-town rival Fallston Monday night, winning in overtime 55-48. The Bobcats now stand with a 7-3 overall record, and 3-0 in division play.

The Bobcats and Cougars battled for the full 32 minutes, and 32 happened to be not enough Monday night. The score was tied 10-10 after the end of the 1st quarter, and then the Bobcats paced to a 23-18 lead at halftime. The Cougars would take back control of the lead in the 3rd quarter, pushing to a score of 32-30. The Bobcats fought back to tie the game at 44, and remained tied at the end of regulation.

Overtime proved to be enough for the Bobcats to claim victory, as they scored the first 5 points and maintained the lead until the final buzzer.

Offensively, the Bobcats were led by Tyler Norcross, scoring 19 points and grabbing 9 rebounds. Chris Murdock added 13 points of his own, and Parker Jones also added 9 points and 4 steals.

On Friday, January 11th the Bobcats will travel to Perryville High School to take on the Panthers in a Conference match-up.
