The Bobcats also finished in the top 8 in the state championship as a team.

The Bobcats were led by team captains Matt Hottman (Senior), Nick Loiodice (Junior), and Bill Dearth (Senior). Matt Hottman won the individual award at the UBAC, District 7, and HCPS Championship. Nick Loiodice won the individual second place at the District 7 tournament.

Matt Hottman and Nick Loiodice both tied for 10th at the state championship for individuals, placing the best from anyone from Harford County.  Hottman led the Bobcats with a 9 hole scoring average of 36. Loiodice’s 9 hole average was 39. “The season was a successful one,” said Hottman commenting on the season’s most memorable moments. When asked about what the best moments of the season were, Hottman replied, “Wining district for a second year in a row and beating C. Milton two times to go undefeated.” When asked what he would miss most about the team he said, “Just being around the team is what I will miss most.”

Congratulations to the Bel Air Bobcats Golf team on a great season and good luck seniors on your future endeavors. Hopefully this success can continue on into next season.
