Cheerleaders Win Perry Hall Competition, Prepare For Counties on Oct. 24th

In one of their final preparations before the Harford County Cheerleading Competition, the Bel Air Bobcat Cheerleaders brought home a victory on October 13, at their first competition of the year, held at Perry Hall High School, as both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams earned a first place finish.  This competition is viewed a great “dress rehearsal” before the Harford County Competition, which take place on Wednesday, October 24th at Harford Tech High School.

There were eight teams competing in the Varsity Division and four in the JV Division at the Perry Hall Invitational Competition.   Broadneck High school took second place and Westminster High school took third place in the varsity.

“The  (Perry Hall) competition was a huge success, taking home first place in varsity and JV. It really puts us in a good position for counties, ” Head Coach Joffee stated. “Bel Air fans came out and showed a lot of support to the team considering it was about 30 minutes away.

“Our fans were and are always the loudest at cheerleading competitions,”  Ms. Joffe  said.   “We have a lot of good competition were going up against at counties, but from our previous competition we have one of the top scores in the county. I feel confident with them at counties, but there is still work to be done.”
