On Thursday, October 11th the Bobcats Golf team won the Harford County Public School tournament at Geneva Farms. The Bobcats remain undefeated with a record of 18-0 in match play and swept the UCBAC, District 7, and Harford County tournaments for the year. This marks the first time in school history that the team won all three of these tournaments in the same season. In addition, Bel Air Senior Matt Hottman was the winning individual golfer in all three of these tournaments this season.
In the Harford County Tournament Hottman shot an even par round of 72 on the day. Hottman started out the day of slow, going 3 over par through the first 4 holes. He made three birdies to get back to even par, which is where he finished for the day. Nick Loiodcie shot a 76 on the day and was two shots of off the second best round of the day, which was a 74. Bill Dearth shot a 79 on the day, which was a key score to help the Bobcats win. Tyler Newton shot an 84 on the day, Dave Jagodzinzki shot an 86, and Sam Foss shot an 87.
The Bobcats total score was 484. C. Milton Wright was seven strokes behind the Bobcats with a total score of 491. North Harford, the hosting team, scored a total of 537. The Bobcats next match will take place on October 22nd and 23rd at University of Maryland College Park Golf Course for the state Championship.
