Girls’ Volleyball Wins With Class

The Lady Bobcat Volleyball Team faced Perry Hall Tuesday, September 4th and was able to claim victory. The girls worked well on the court and were able to move and cover every inch of the floor. The offense played a great game, getting the hit every chance they got. Tia Williams aided in this offense attack with 7 kills and 4 aces, and Celeste Roland contributed 6 kills and 4 aces. Amanda Rodriguez set up the Bobcat offense with 14 assists. Kaila Gonzalez racked up some points for Bel Air with 5 kills, as did Rien Hachmann with 5 aces.

Outstanding defense was played by Kendall Daley and Consuelo Ezcurra. Over all the team won with great serves and making smart plays. They showed a lot of spirit, not only for the Bobcats, but for their opponent as well as Perry Hall High School continues to deal with the tragic in-school shooting that occurred there last week.   To show their respect and support for the school and their students the Bel Air ladies wore blue and yellow hair ribbons. At the end of the match the teams shook hands, and each Bel Air player gave a Perry Hall player their ribbon to let them know they are not alone in dealing with this tragedy.
