On Saturday September 1, 2012 the Bel air High School Varsity Football team defeated National Academy in their first regular season game. The Bobcats defeated National Academy by a score of 49-6. The Bobcats controlled the game from the beginning, going into half time with a 35-6 lead. During the first quarter senior nose guard Travis Soubie had a fumble recovery for a touchdown. Junior quarterback Matt Wallace threw two touchdown passes to junior tight end Ben Webber and sophomore wide receiver Kyle Hamrick. Senior running back Juwan Singletary rushed for 100 yards on 9 carries with two touchdowns for the Bobcats.  Junior running back Miguel Valdes and senior running back Joe Denver also rushed for touchdowns to help the Bobcats defeat National Academy. The Bobcats kicker, senior Nick Harris, successfully kicked 7 out of 7 PAT’s.

The Bobcats next game will be home against Elkton on Friday, September 7, at 7:00 p.m.  Tickets cost $5 at the gate. Elkton is coming off of a 44-0 win over Have de Grace last weekend, so come out and support your Bobcats as they hope to claim another victory.
