Boys’ Basketball Team Goes 1-1 Since Break

The Bel Air High School boys basketball team went into the
winter break with the record of 1-5. Their first game back in school was on
January 4th against Bo Manor (0-5). The Bobcats came out with their
2nd win of the year with the final score of 63-52.

Their next game was a home game on January 6th
against nearby rival, Patterson Mill. The Bobcats went into the game with a
record of 2-5. The Bobcats ended up losing the game 72-52. Two of the game’s
standout players were sophomore forward Tom Keller 14 points and junior center
Tyler Norcross with 22 points. Senior forward Derek Spanellis had one of the
high points in the game for the Bobcats. Patterson Mill was on a fast break
after a rebound. Spanellis ran up behind the Husky player and blocked his layup
attempt so far from the basket that the ball went out of bounds.

The next games for the Bobcats will be a home game against
Perryville at 6:45 pm on January 11th and an away game against North
East at 7:00 pm on January 13th.
