The Bel Air Bobcat’s golf team came up short on Wednesday,
October 12th at the Harford County Public School’s Tournament at Geneva
Farms Golf Course. Bel Air came in second with a score of 508 tying C.Miltion
Wright. North Harford ended up winning the tournament. Coincidently, the
tournament was played Geneva Farms Golf Course, North Harford’s home course. The conditions were not
favorable, the greens were slow, and the fairways were not in perfect condition
. Through out the match it would lightly
rain then mist then stop and continued to repeat. Team Captain Nick Loidoice
shot a team best 77 tying for first place out of all the men. When asked about
his about his score he said “I snuck one out.” Co-Captain Matt Hottman shot a
team second best 78 tying for second, out of all the men in the tournament. Sam
Foss shot an 87, with Tyler Newton and Nick Rynes both shooting an 87. Nicole
Haggerty shot a 99 and was third best out of all the girls in the tournament. When
asked about the events Mr. Doyle said, “It’s easy to grin when your ship comes in and
you know you go the stock market beat, but a man whose worth wild is a man who
can smile when his shorts are too tight in the seat.”
