As the last week of rehearsals concludes, next week will start tech week. This Saturday, the BADC has their last tech day where they will get building and designs all finished for all the sets, props, makeup, and costumes.During tech week, the first two days consist of constant running of the show. This is a time for backstage to practice their cues on when to take sets and props on and off. It is also a time to tweak anything our director may want them to fix.
For most, like me, it is our last show. After putting in so much hard work in the last 4 years, throughout 8 shows consistently, the seniors will be off, and celebrated with a “senior circle” where all the seniors during the last circle get to share who they are, and celebrate all the memories they’ve had with the company. Senior Corrine Lubiano said, “My favorite part is getting to build lasting memories with the friends I made in drama, and showing people the talent that exists within the BADC.” Not only displaying how emotional it is for the seniors to leave the thing they have been doing all of their high school careers, but also to show how amazingly talented every individual is in the Bel Air Drama Company.
