Starting on Monday, November 6, 2017, the Bel Air National Honor Society members will collect non-perishable items to help feed families in need during the holiday season.

This year, the students will strive to feed even more families than last year. To encourage the students, teachers will be offering prizes to the homeroom that collects the most items.

“Last year we served over 300 families!” says, Bel air High School Athletic director, Mrs. Blackburn.

Different homerooms will be collecting the following; instant potatoes, canned sweet potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, pasta sauce, mac and cheese, peanut butter, pancake mix, canned tuna and meat, pie filling and crust, corn, green beans, gravy, peas, pasta, soups, jelly, syrup, and canned fruit.

The collection ends on Friday, November 17, 2017, so make sure to collect as many non-perishable items as possible.

Not all people are able to provide a Thanksgiving dinner for their families, so keep in mind that by bringing in non-perishable items, you will be contributing to making their holiday season better. Bobcats, let’s come together and help to provide more families a nice holiday meal!
