On October 11, 2017, Harford Community College will be hosting the annual HCPS College and Career Fair from 6:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. in the APGFCU Arena in Bel Air.

This event happens one night per year, and parents and students are all welcome to attend. It should be very important to any students who are planning on or hoping to go away to a 2 or 4-year school in the future.

At the event, more than 120 colleges will be represented, which are all 2 and 4-year colleges that come from in-state and out-of-state. Military academies will also be being represented, along with trade and technical schools.

Caitlyn Magee, a junior at Bel Air High School, says, “I will be attending the college fair because I want to go away to school, and I am very excited to look into the different schools that are being represented there.”

From 6:15 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., there will be a financial aid seminar. From 7:15 P.M. to 7:45 P.M., there will be an Athlete Eligibility Seminar. Local businesses will also be there to represent many technological, business, and STEM occupations around the Maryland area.

Julian Vazquez, another junior at Bel Air High School, says “I am attending the annual college fair because I am planning on going away to a good college that I love.”

Overall, the HCPS College Fair is a good experience and will help students all across Harford County decide what they want to do with their future. Come out to the event, I promise you will not regret it.
