On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, Bel Air High School seniors in the Biomedical Innovation Program participated in their Capstone Ceremony.

This evening was for the seniors to present their hard work to the professional community, peers, and family.

The Gallery Walk took place in the Bel Air High School cafeteria from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. followed by a presentation of certificates that took place in the auditorium from 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

Bethany Ingram, Biomedical Sciences student says, “We have all worked four long years together toward this project. For all of us to come together one final time to showcase our projects was such a proud moment for us as a class and as individuals.”

This Capstone Gallery Walk displays the hard work and dedication to the program that the students have fulfilled. Over the course of their senior year, students created an independent learning experience in a biomedical field with the guidance of their teachers.

“I cannot begin to explain how thankful we are to have the support that we do. It was incredible to see all of our support here, and sharing it with our teachers who have guided us through the process,” Ingram explains.

Students checked in regularly with their teachers and shared progress, however, the students were in charge of and responsible for their own experience. They spent upwards of 100 hours in the field. Students built relationships with mentors who provided one-of-a-kind hands on experiences. (Burke, Michael, and Josh Clemmer. “Capstone Gallery Walk.” BAHS Biomed.
