NHS Elections for the 2016-2017 School Year

Brogan Gerhart

As we bid farewell to our outgoing-Senior National Honor Society members, it’s time to congratulate our new Junior NHS student government! Announcements were made on the Cat’s Eye, on the morning of May 11, 2016, acknowledging the Junior NHS members and winners of the election, some of which made statements regarding the announcement and their plans for next year, as followed:

President – Amy Das

“I feel so humbled to be the President of a society filled with incredibly intelligent and involved students! There are a lot of exciting events that NHS will sponsor next year, such as the 200th Anniversary Celebration for our school, and I hope I can make students feel like they are a part of our community by reaching out and encouraging their participation.

Vice President – Renee Sipos

“I would like to sincerely thank everyone who voted to give me this opportunity! As far as next year goes, I hope to work with NHS members to explore new ways for our organization to give back to our school and the community.”

Treasurer – Juliana Pitzer

Secretary – Dani Garrido

“Thank you to everyone who voted for me! Next year I hope to help increase service opportunities and make meetings more efficient. I look forward to being your NHS secretary!” stated Garrido.

Everyone here at the Bellarion would like to, again, congratulate all of the winners of this year’s election and wish them luck as they move into their respective positions… as they begin to lead the new and returning members of National Honor Society towards a better and brighter, upcoming, 2016-2017 school year.
