College and Career Fair Coming to HCC

Cameron Ostadali

On Wednesday, Oct. 15, the College and Career Fair will take place at Harford Community College from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

There will be 120+ colleges attending the fair. Including military recruiters, financial aid managers, and booths about careers for you to consider.

A college fair is a gathering of college representatives who are looking for the right students for their institutions. They’re there to spread the word about their college to students.

Mr. Naus, a guidance counselor here at Bel Air High School, stated, “This is a great way for the admission officers to get to meet you.”

Before you go, make sure you bring a list of any questions you may have about any of the colleges. While you are there, make sure you attend a seminar to gain information about applications and financial aid.

Mr. Naus also stated, “You can also log onto Naviance to register to visit colleges that are coming here to Bel Air High School. Separate from the fair of course.”

When you get home from the fair, make sure to ask yourself which colleges stood out to you and why. Also, be sure to organize the college material you collected and review it that week while it’s still fresh in your mind.
