Harford Ballet Company Gives to Bel Air Community

The Harford Ballet Company will be presenting a shortened version of their production of Cinderella at the Bel Air Armory on Fri., May 9, 2014, at 7 P.M.

This event is free and for all ages. It first will include a verbal retelling of the classic, Cinderella, an excerpt from the Company’s main production and a ballet class for the guests instructed by HBC Artistic Director, Barclay Gibbs, and Cinderella herself. There will also be an opportunity to take pictures with cast members in their costumes after the class.

Artistic Director Barclay Gibbs thinks that, “It is great for our dancers to have a chance to be in the community and see how their talent and hard work can inspire our youngest audience members.”

The Harford Ballet Company participates in several outreach performances each year, ranging from local libraries to schools around the county. Outreach performances help get the dancers out of the studio and into the community to provide Harford County a different flavor of art.
