On Sat., Mar. 1, 2014, the Bark Park, an indoor dog park and daycare, opened its doors to the public.

The Bark Park has multiple options for those who wish to leave their pets there or for those who just want to bring them to play with the other dogs. The price per session of the dog park is $8, but $30 grants access for the entire month. The price of boarding is $40 per night with daycare included. The daycare service however, has the most options to suit your needs; daily full day for $25; daily half day for $13; full day weekly for $115, etc.

One of the key aspects of raising a dog is to make sure that they socialize often. The level of socialization a dog is exposed to will determine its personality and help it build a welcoming, friendly, and trusting disposition. That being said, it is highly beneficial to take your dog to establishments like the Bark Park regularly to help them become more social.

If your pet isn’t fond of crates, the Bark Park is the place for your furry friend. Crystal Cammarata, owner and operator, says, “we don’t really believe in crates. Each dog gets their own separate room to sleep in and dogs that belong to the same owner are allowed to stay together.”

The Bark Park requires that your dogs be up to date on their shots, be spayed or neutered, and be evaluated beforehand.  The evaluation fee is $10 and can be scheduled by phoning the establishment at 410-420-6901. The building is located at 4 G Newport Drive, Forest Hill, MD 21050.
